GENERAL ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS

Please follow the instructions below to expedite your order.
Our production time starts from the date we receive an approved paper proof of your artwork.

All quoted prices are for One Color/One Location.Multiple colors and locations are
available; please inquire.
All artwork must be at least 1/8" from the edge of any product. No bleeds.
Borders: Borders can be between 1/8" and 3/16" wide and must
be 1/8" from the edge of the mirror. Extra Charges may apply.
We can reproduce half-tones and half-tone gradients. Extra charges may apply,

E-MAIL ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS

We need a fax of your e-mailed artwork with layout, to verify your e-mailed art
We use PC and accept VECTOR files; .ai (Adobe Illustrator 9.0), .cdr (CorelDraw 9) or
.eps (Encapsulated Postscript) formatted files. File conversion may require extra charges.
You must convert all type to outlines/path.

All art should be saved in a single application.

All multi-color art needs to be color separated black and white files with color
instructions and a composite file. If color traps are necessary we should make those here.

We can not use any pixel or bitmap images such as PhotoShop, PaintShopPro, Painter,
PhotoPaint, PhotoDraw, PaintBrush files. Please inquire for conversion charges.

We can not use .jpg, .bmp, .pdf files. Sometimes these files can be redrawn if absolutely
necessary but additional charges will apply.

We can not use .ai .cdr or .eps files created on pixel image programs and saved as .ai,
.cdr or .eps file formats. Sometimes these files can be redrawn if absolutely necessary
but additional charges will apply.

COLOR SEPARATION & COLOR TRAPS

Tight registration multi-color imprints must be color separated. Each color is printed separately, one at a time.

If any colors touch each other (butt) there usually must be a "color trap". A color trap allows for a very small overlapping of colors. This does not effect the color's final appearance. This method is common to hot stamping, pad printing and screen printing. Each printing method has its own requirements.

It is usually best that we create the color traps here for best results. We have successfully printed up to 7 colors in large quantities with extremely tight registration requirements. Once we see your full color artwork we can quote the separation and color trap charges.
